Supply of sleepers for upcoming track renewal works on sections of the Euskal Trenbide Sarea (ETS) network

This contract is fundamental for the renewal of the Euskal Trenbide Sarea (ETS) railway tracks in various sections and stations where the track infrastructure has reached an advanced stage of wear and obsolescence. The importance of the project lies in the modernization of the track, allowing the transition from RN45 (45E3) rail to the current 54 E1 rail standard, thereby ensuring a more robust and safer railway infrastructure.

The contract awarded to Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón, S.L. comprises the manufacture, supply, and delivery of 14,800 units of MM-VE model monoblock concrete sleepers for 54 E1 rail, including gauge widening and pre-assembled fastening systems.
