Supply and delivery of monoblock sleepers for track renewal works in the Tardienta district

The purpose of this contract is the supply and delivery of PR-VE type versatile prestressed monoblock concrete sleepers, with 54 E1 rail, for the replacement of old RS sleepers on a 76 km section. The works are located in the Tardienta district (Huesca), specifically on the section between San Juan de Mozarrífar and Selgua stations of the L 200 Madrid – Barcelona line. The contract awarded to the UTE Tardienta, formed by Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón, S.L. and Traviesas del Norte, S.A., covers the manufacturing, supply, and delivery of 109,000 sleepers.

The strategic importance of this contract lies in its direct impact on railway operations and maintenance costs. Likewise, the contract ensures that all elements comply with the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) and rigorous quality controls, which is fundamental to guarantee the safety and durability of the superstructure on a key line of the Spanish railway network.
